On Tuesday 26th April 2022, Federation representative Christos Tuton attended a moving Armenian Genocide memorial at the Cenotaph in London to pay respects to the victims and to show support for the campaign for recognition. During the memorial event, wreaths were laid by the APPG for Armenia and the Ambassador of Armenia to the UK. Tim Loughton MP (Con, Chair of the APPG for Armenia), John Spellar MP (Lab), Chris Law MP (SNP) spoke at the memorial about the importance of the UK Government formally recognising the Armenian Genocide and the steps they are taking to support the campaign for recognition. Catherine West MP (Lab), Shadow Minister for Asia and Pacific, Sammy Wilson MP (DUP) were also in attendance. There were also remarks by the Ambassador of Armenia to the UK and Annette Moskofian, Chair of the Armenian National Committee UK.
