APPG members meet with the British High Commissioner to Cyprus, Mr Irfan Siddiq OBE

The Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Cyprus, Sir Roger Gale MP, along with a delegation of APPG members met for a private briefing with the British High Commissioner to Cyprus, Mr Irfan Siddiq OBE.

The Parliamentarians in attendance included Vice-Chair Theresa Villiers MP and members Catherine West MP and Fabian Hamilton MP. Also in attendance was Christos Karaolis, President of the National Federation of Cypriots in the U.K. and Secretariat of the APPG.

Members exchanged views with Mr Siddiq about the prospects for restarting negotiations to reunite Cyprus following recent elections in Turkey & Cyprus and the role that the U.K. can play to support efforts. Members also discussed initiatives to deepen U.K.-Cyprus relations.
